Technical information
The View From The Ground runs the latest version of the WordPress blogging engine for content management on a Rackspace managed server.
Several plugins and articles for WordPress have resulted from the development of The View:
- A guide to hardening WordPress, originally written by David Eads of the Invisible Institute and signficantly refined and revised by the WordPress documentation community.
- A helper plugin to shuttle WordPress administration over a secure connection. This plugin has been superseded by Ryan Boren's secure admin plugin.
- A robust threaded comments plugin, forthcoming.
Release-ready plugins, scripts, and documentation are released under the appropriate free license.
In addition to the WordPress project contributors, we appreciate the contributions of Dagon Design for their form mail plugin, Brian "Coldforged" Dupuis for the Enhanced View plugin and Vito Tardia for the improved page inclusion plugin.
