Browser Compatibility
We encourage our readers to use standards-compliant web browsers, particularly browsers released under free/open-source licenses.
- For Windows users, we recommend Firefox 1.5. The site has been tested extensively will work properly with minor limitations (mainly, that the text width is fixed and does not scale as you change your font size) in Internet Explorer 6. The site has not been tested in IE 5.5 or IE 5.0 versions; thus far IE 5 users account for just a few hits each month.
- For Mac users, we recommend the latest version of Safari which comes with Mac OS X.
- For Linux users, we recommend Firefox or Konqueror.
- For those who use the Opera browser on any of these platforms or on a mobile device like a PDA or cellphone: the site should display and print properly in Opera, but we have not fully tested the site in all common Opera versions.
If you experience problems, we encourage you to contact us with reports so that we can improve our site.
